Reiki Services

Energy medicine supports every healing journey – from intense periods of transition, to cancer, to spiritual awakening, to those who feel worn out and lost. Reiki works with every single healing modality out there and is never contraindicated, whether you’re working with pregnancy, antidepressants, chemotherapy, acupuncture, talk therapy, etc. Literally, everyone benefits from reiki, which fills us with a deep sense of well-being and peace – no matter who we are, what we’re working on, or what’s happening. Simply, reiki is a particular vibration of love – and love is appropriate in every situation.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique that uses gentle touch to promote relaxation and balance. It's based on the idea that energy flows through the body and that low energy levels contribute to stress and illness.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A REIKI SESSION?

Reiki is incredibly potent, warm, transformative, relaxing and evolutionary. We’ll check in about your healing goals, talk about exactly what happens during your reiki treatment so you always know what to expect, nest you on a comfy massage table while fully clothed, and apply reiki in a series of safe touch hand positions (no touching of breasts, genitals, or buttocks) on your body, spending extra time on areas that you’re working on.

After time on the table, you’ll have an opportunity to come back to ordinary reality, stretch, drink some water, and check in about what you experienced. Simple after-care instructions are provided, with encouragement to be active in your own healing process after your session, and before your next treatment. It’s important to practice the art of receiving…and at the same time; we’re our own best healers. Being active in our healing treatment plan helps us honor choice in our lives, and act as powerful guardians of our own well-being. Healing, after all, is an inside job.

Some people find reiki to be energizing and playful, and others experience deep self-work and transformation. Whether you’re clearing old patterns, regaining health, embracing new lifestyles, or finding what delights you, energy work is always beneficial.

Many report a reduction in pain, stress or anxiety, and an overall sense of wellness.  It is not uncommon for you to feel more relaxed than you have been in years!

There are many different healing outcomes that parallel stress reduction, such as a reduction in muscle spasms, shortening of healing time and reducing or eliminating pain.  Reiki is a supplement to any patient’s current medical treatment.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
